The "Go" line for the same size is 14$ at bezos electronics, looks like same read/write speeds
The step up from go/elite is the pro, endurance is another factor (didnt even look at this), seems like a decent deal but most slickdealers will opt for sandisk for a few bucks more

Bad idea.

Portable flash memory has very limited read and write cycles. Running software from it is a good way to kill it quickly.

Did not know there were limited *read* cycles - why is that? Do you know where I can read up on that?

I could see cloning a drive to these for interactive kiosk uses, but if there's a limit to reads, then that might not be very useful.

Can you clone a HD to a SD card? Yes

Will the BIOS recognize it? Probably.

Can you boot from it? If you're running Windows, no. If you're running Linux, probably.

Is it a good idea to run the average OS from a SD card? No.

The main concern is limited write cycles. Practically, reading is not an issue. Yes, there's Read Disturb but it's not worth worrying about.

Depending on a variety of things, an interactive kiosk might be an acceptable application for running an OS from a SD card. Just don't count on good reliability (especially with Team Group).
