Buyer Beware: Ebay seller: "adidas_official",

There are several complaints about "adidas_official" operating as Adidas. One customer went directly to Adidas about an issue with a purchase from "adidas_official" and was told there was no affiliation. Who knows for sure.

I can tell you about my negative experience with "adidas_official" : A few days after receiving a shirt from "adidas_official", I requested a refund. The seller replied that they would send a return shipping label honoring their free returns. 5 days later, no return shipping label was sent. I messaged them again & a few days later, no return shipping label. Each time, they sent an automated response to me: "We've sent a return label again to your personal email account. Please check your junk/spam folders, it might end up there." The return label was not in my regular email nor in my junk/spam folder. I sent another message saying I hadn't received a return label. Again, the same automated response. I then tried to use Ebay's online system for Ebay to get involved, but since I had begun the return process there was no way of Ebay intervening—I received an automated response from Ebay that the return process had started and there was nothing else I could do. I could not find an Ebay 800 number nor a customer service email. There was nothing else to do but contact Paypal. Paypal is currently trying to resolve the return for me-several weeks with no resolution
. All of this has not been worth the time suck and frustration. I wont be buying from this seller on Ebay ever again and most likely not using Ebay in the future.

To give another perspective:

They've been fine for me for returns these past couple of sales. Usually they send the return label to my email within 1-2 days. Only the last one had some problems because they took until the last day to send the return label and after receiving the return, waited until the last day to refund me.

I assume they're Adidas because the return addresses say Adidas on the label, but you still probably can't go through the official site and have to go through their eBay account

It sounds like they were doing the same thing to you as they did to me.

I really hope this is not Adidas providing this crappy customer service, but if it is, maybe they think they can get away with it on Ebay vs. selling directly from their website.

I have probably ordered from the Ebay Official site 10+ times I have only had positive experiences. All items are official adidas, new, packaged great and delivered extremely quickly (sometimes the next day). Returns have been seamless, label is emailed 1-2 days after requesting, and refund is processed upon shipment.

Right, I'm hoping it's just this one time but could also be because I returned too many things in the past. In the end, my returns still go through (although I think it's eBay triggering it automatically), so I'm going to try again and stop if things still go poorly this time

The comment about buyer beware is ridiculous, this is Adidas. Have bought probably 40 pairs of shoes and returned 25, all without issue. One of the best sellers and frequent deals out there.

Yes but there's more ongoing than just Adidas initial denial

Whatever the deal is it's a sweetheart between Adidas_Offical , eBay , and Adidas.... My socks will be arriving in a day or two and I'll see the quality for myself 😄

Abusing what? A return policy that's allowed them to sell me lots of inventory?

They are using adidas logo. They have sold 7 million items so far! How is it possible that they are not adidas?

I've bought a ton of stuff from them on eBay. Always a good shopping experience.

But, the adidas stuff on Premium Outlets was a disaster. I'll never ahop Premium Outlets again. YMMV
