I have the epson 3800 and it's great. Bright enough. Super sharp. Runs super hot tho. Not sure about the lg. Tho I trust epson moreso when it's one's to projectors.

Lg is better in clarity as well as black level. Please don't consider only brightness because contrast vs black levels are important. If you buy both and compare you will fall for lg
I'll agree with that when they make a 150" tv that's affdorable.
I'll add a second point to that. Projected light is less enjoyable to watch than reflected light. What this means, is that light coming from a TV, into your eyes, will always be less natural and more fatiguing than light that is reflected off a projector screen.

With issues. I went with OLED tv because it is hot down south, projector adds to the heat bubble, needing more A/C. Then the projectors are not quiet as tvs. Heat added through noise, then more A/C that is a bit noisy too. At some point I decided that smaller screen is ok, just don't want to hear fan noise anymore.
I am not that hip to projectors, but I have been admiring the Optoma uhd38x. Picture would probably be acceptable, but the input lag would be better than this LG. One review I watched said the LG is 50ms of input lag while the Optoma uhd38x is around 16ms in 4k and 4-5ms in 1080p.
