    Got burnt once with fake NGK's from Amazon, they are VERY hard to identify if this is your first time.

    I suggest buying spark plugs from trusted online auto store or locally as installing fake ones - apart from making your vehicle worse - is more labor to put the real one back on.

    Same thing happened to me on Ebay. I noticed before I installed them though. Fake plugs can destroy your engine. It is not worth the risk.

    Atleast on ebay you know you are buying from third party, on Amazon the seller could be NGK themselves, but if shipped by Amazon, as they will commingle product from all vendors, there is a VERY high chance you will get fake ones.

    Me too. It was fake NGK from Amazon like this one, stated double iridium.
    No more auto-parts from Amazon!!
    (burnt with fake Mitsutoyo Caliper as well, this one, at least will not damage anything...)

    Amazon's inventory practices always make me think of the movie Blood Diamond. There's the scene where Danny is talking about how the smuggling operation works, and how when the diamonds make it to India the dirty stones get mixed in with the clean stones from all around the world.

    I've also been burned by fake NGK Iridiums on Amazon. From what I heard, rockauto.com's supply of NGKs are good. After I got burned, nowadays I pick up my plugs from napa locally.

    Have to echo everybody's comments in here already. For some odd reason, spark plugs are one of the worst counterfeited items I've come across on Amazon. I guess the profit margins are huge by taking a $0.50 spark plug and turning it into an $8 plug. Even at this sale price you 4x your money or more.
