The 670p is comparable to samsungs. It's disingenuous to call it intel at this point because intel sold its ssd division and they dont even support hardware updates for it. So if you're looking for great support I wouldn't go with the "intel".
what is the endurance and reliability comparing to samsung 970 evo ?
For 2TB, 670p is 740 TBW...970 evo plus is 1200 TBW.
Both drives have mostly good reviews, so I wouldn't be too concerned with the reliability of either. The reason for the lower TBW is the 670p uses QLC nand while the 970 uses TLC. Intel did sell their SSD division to Solidigm, so they would be the ones providing any warranty/rma support if you ran into issues...but I wouldn't be overly concerned with that.

Intel sold their SSD division to Solidigm, which is a subsidiary of SK Hynix, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Uh i have one. Support went off a cliff after the sale. Intel couldn't wait to pawn off responsibility. Everything used to get updated through intel's website. Now it's everything except the ssd…

Did you contact Solidigm or Intel?

There are multiple listings for the 670p from Newegg, Microcenter and Amazon...all which have matched the $64.99 price. Pick the most convenient store.,..check out some of the other threads for more info on the drive including how to upgrade it's firmware to latest version.
At this pace 2TB SSDs are going to be included in Happy Meals and cereal boxes in a few years.
If I needed a 2TB NVME SSD I would spend $5 more and get a "refurb" 970 EVO Plus from Best Buy. LINK[bestbuy.com] Superior drive w.r.t. performance and endurance.
I realize some people would never touch a "refurb" storage device. Understandable.
But I've gotten 3 refurb Samsung SSDs from Best Buy over the past year and they were all close to brand new if not literally brand new. Obviously Best Buy aren't "refurbishing" them, they are doing a quick power on test and wipe of a drive some customer returned.

Why would I contact anyone? It used to get automatic updates when intel owned it. Now that intel sold the division, it does not get automatic updates. There was never a problem with the drive, only the support changes were noticeable.

Just install the Solidigm software instead of the intel software and the problem is solved.

This is a good drive for using as a backup target. My laptop has two NVMe slots, and I use this drive as my Windows File History target. Has saved me numerous times, when I needed to step back in time in my file history, to restore a snapshot from a few hours or days in the past.
Speed is largely irrelevant.

I broke down and got the 1 TB one from Amazon/Microcenter. Sept 2022 production date. I put it into my Sabrent RTL9210 (EC-SNVE) enclosure (best of the USB 3,1G2 enclosures). Formatted APFS (mac os) Ran Blackmagic speed test. Gave 850/950 MBps write/read speeds. Very solid speeds. Now I need to find out why my 2TB I bought a year earlier previously gave half that speed in this enclosure.
I use these for media drives and for cheap laptops. Hard to beat 1TB for $35 with these speeds and reliability.

6 months in as my main system drive, no issues.

Intel sold their division to Solidigm. It is Solidigm now. That's why I asked who you contacted.
