Mine (of a different brand) has been functioning solid for 3 years supporting my boondocking and long road trip adventures. My advice:

1) Buy a size larger than you need. You will be pleasantly surprised.

2) Buy a fridge which either has a name brand compressor (example Secop previously known as Danfoss, LG etc) or offers 3 year or more warranty on its compressor.

3) The temperature gauge on all portable refrigerators is inaccurate because the sensor isn't actually in the cavity. Put your own thermometer inside for accurate readings.
It's a good deal, but I'd go for the 34qt one at $210 right now!
I have this exact fridge. Purchased at this price a few months back and have taken it on a few trips. No complaints, and the optional battery area doubles as storage for all the wires (just don't keep the power brick in there while it's running)

Been thinking about something like this for a while.
Benefit of the smaller one is if it can fit in a different spot - measured and it's exactly the same size as the footwell storage we keep in the back of our Mazda CX-5 (my gf doesn't want our big dogs to fall down the footwell when we brake 😅)

Can just leave it there full time and keep the after hike beers cold

Link?

edit: nvm I see the non-pro series has a 34 qt. Is the only difference between the two the ability to have a battery compartment?

You'll need space for the freezer's vents.

Power consumption of portable refrigerators doesn't grow linearly with its volume/capacity. The difference in power consumption of a 50 qt refrigerator and that of a 21 qt refrigerator is rarely in double digits. Therefore, I can't understand why anyone would want such a small size refrigerator.

Depends where people want to use/put it. I would personally like one of these to put into the subtrunk of my car, and a 21qt would work while the 50qt would definitely not

I don't own the one with the battery compartment but I'd presume they're mostly the same electronics otherwise.

Agree - 21 quart is not a lot of space - slightly more than an igloo playmate lunchbox cooler

Why not? It'll get it too hot?

How you liking your 50qt?

Not too big for small trips?
