eBay and Walmart have the Dyson Omni-Glide+ for $199.99 plus tax with free shipping. It's the lowest price I've seen in awhile, but don't know if it is the lowest ever. Both vendors say shipped and sold by Dyson as new. Hope this helps. Please be gentle, I don't post often.

Get the V12 Detect Slim instead. The detect lasers are great and the more typical form factor is more comfortable to use than this one.

I tried this model first, but it flops around, slides too easily sideways and is generally hard to control. Suction did not seem to be up the Dyson standards either.

For most vacuums I'd agree, but I've read mixed reviews about their handheld vacuums. They don't seem to live up to the same quality and performance as Miele's canister versions.

I think this is common, the highest setting is more like a turbo mode not really meant for your normal use case.

Miele is awesome! Great suctions for large areas, only downside is that you have to plug it in. I also have the v12 detect Dyson which I use for quick cleaning small areas. Makes it easier with out having to lug the miele around and plugging it in.

I have both and the glide makes it easier to reach underneath areas the v12 cant. The glide is also more enjoyable to use then the v12 since it's effortless to move it around

I also have both. The Glide is very limited in what it can do, but amazing if you just have hardwood
