Now yes, I understand it says protects from rust, but that doesn't mean it makes it waterproof.
I have my griddle outside and under a gazebo with a cover over it, but I had a rat decide to make it its home and leave little presents all over the seasoned top. I then had to do a deep clean on it that stripped the seasoning so I could get it absolutely clean again before re-seasoning and finding a way to keep pests out. I wish I had this back then!
