I've never played any of the originals. This game is pretty laid back though. I played the demo that was available on Nintendo's site and couldn't stop thinking about it for quite awhile afterwards. When I saw the game on sale at Woot I purchased it after wavering for a few days.

Is it a bunch of weird, pervy closeups and racial stereotypes with terrible dialogue? That was the first game. Serious question as I don't know how this one.

It's about a young girl trying to get to her exiled Mom. The Mom is a witch who's being held prisoner by the village that also exiled her daughter because of her parentage. What motivates the daughter is her Mom getting moved to somewhere that's impossible to get to. She had been sneaking in to visit before that.

The game itself looks like an animated drawing. If that makes sense.
