Omega is probably the last luxury watch brand I'd say is for yuppies. One of the oldest watchmakers still doing their thing, using in-house movements and manufacturing. Omega is for the true horology nerds... who can reasonably & rationally drop thousands of dollars on a piece of jewelry. It's something precious to be appreciated for a lifetime. I'd bet the majority of buyers of these models are not buying them to flex. (All bets are off when it comes to the Speedmaster.)

That said, you absolutely aren't getting 10 times the watch compared to any given $300 watch (and a $30 Casio will keep better time.) A whole big chunk of the cost goes towards the prestige and history the name brand carries, and it just is what it is.

If you are a watch collector and have the money for this, It is a great price and a well made watch.

It should be noted that joma shop is a 'grey' market dealer meaning any warranty work is done in house by them. A typical omega has a 5 year warranty done by the Omega when bought at a boutique or AD. That being said, omegas are good watches and even if you have to pay for a service out of pocket, it's doubtful it will be more than the difference between the discounted cost and retail.

I bought an older speedmaster when prices dropped on them last year and I absolutely love it. I wear it just about every day. Sad to see what has happened to Rolex but I'm glad Omega is still sticking to their principles and making nice pieces at prices us watch nerds can actually aspire to obtain.

Yes it will be worth some money later. Probably not more than what you paid for it unless it's unworn AND you buy a model that magically becomes sought after (Rolex Hulk). But either way it won't be as depreciative as the $300 Yeezy shoes, the $1,500 mountain bike, or any of the millions of electronics "deals" they feature on this site.

I've got the Railmaster. It's a little under the radar, which I can appreciate. It's been running a consistent +1 second per day since the day I got it.

The only downside (imo) is the non-adjustable clasp.

Grey market watch is fine as long as the watch is authentic and not a high grade replica.
Jomashop has been accused by some buyers on selling high end fake/replica stuff.
I often bought stuff just < $1,000 from them when there is a good deal and have never bought mid level above luxury brand from them yet.

BTW, the high grade replica I referred to may not be watch specifically and I read that legit forum from people who did purchase luxury item from them.
