Thanks, OP! Just picked up the 10k BTU unit.. This unit has a water self evaporate feature. The Midea unit I picked up from another deal does not and requires manual draining every ~week, so it will go back.

These things are loud and horribly inefficient. I used mine for one month and my jaw dropped when I saw my electric bill DOUBLE. I literally bought a Midea window unit the same day, had it express shipped and got rid of this piece of crap the moment the new one arrived.

You're welcome! The Portable AC Unit also has a slide-out washable filter, auto water evaporation, & 24-hour timer.
