Hmmmm…. Looking to build a new PC.
This and save what looks to be about $60, or a 13700K?

I kind of wonder about this as well. I've always been told to go to the 13k series and spend a little extra but I wonder if this would be an exception?

This has got to be for NASA engineers or Digital professionals. Right?

No game on the planet, even for the next 5 years, needs or can even use this much juice... Right?

Found this article after a bit of searching that made it seem like for non-gaming they are pretty much equal with the 12th gen running a little more power hungry. LINK [tech4gamers.com]

this and the 13900k are borderline uncoolable. I'd go with the 13700k.

The 13700K is superior. It's about 5-10% faster in most tasks. You just decide if that's worth the $30 difference.

Intel Core i7-13700K (Latest Gen) Gaming Desktop Processor 16 cores (8 P-cores + 8 E-cores) with Integrated Graphics - Unlocked https://a.co/d/aJy9yP1

To me, 10% faster for 8.8% more cost is a no brainer. I'll be getting a 13700 to replace my 12100 when the price hits under $240 next year.

Thank you, that's the cheapest I've seen the 13700K. So yea, that pretty much answers it for me.

What?
Running AIO liquid cooler. It runs fines. On normal PC usage it stays at about 30-32 Celsius. Even gaming it doesn't get that much higher.
Then again, I have a spacious case with excellent fans and air circulation as well.
