Chase is once again offering five free night certificates that can be used on properties costing up to 50,000 points per night when you spend $5,000 within the first three months of account opening on the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card.

They ran this promo back in May and I missed the offer. I believe this is the one of the best, if not the best bonus offer for this specific card.

They expire 12 months from the time you get the free nights. I got them in my account from last bonus on 8/4/23 and they expire 8/4/24
recommend looking places you want to go first, then decide if the card is right for you.

It's hard to get a room at a decent property domestically for 50k. Handful of real options.
wow.. how many points do you guys have to think that 50K night certificates are hard to redeem... Five 50K certificates is hands down better than 100K points... I'm having a hard time figuring out why 100K pts would be better unless you ONLY stay at Ritz Carltons or All Inclusives for 1 night.

A typical free night certificate from most credit cards is only 35K pts/night. 50K/night certificates, and they give you five is pretty amazing...

See I'm looking at going in October and all nights are over 55k each. Some nights are 63k which is MORE than the Ritz in the area.

Blame Marriott dynamic pricing. Swan and Dolphin are Cat6 properties with a base rate of 50k/night. Likely your issue here is you're looking two months out. Much cheaper when booked in advance.

Jumped on this last August. Stayed at the W Punta de Mita this past May for 6 nights (added an extra night using points). Rooms were going for $675/night (with taxes/fees) plus received an upgrade due to gold status. One of the better hotel sign up bonuses out there. Just make sure you use them within 12 months.

Thanks, OP. I just applied and approved for this card. I had to temporarily unfreeze my credit reports for them to validate and confirm. And for those who thought it was a "soft" pull against your credit, you were incorrect. It was in fact a HARD pull against my credit report. Which can be an issue for some... was/is annoying if you ask me.

Literally got a notice from credit karma and logged in to check... Transunion score got hit by 5 pts.!! Unreal if you ask me.. I'm still above the 800 mark, but extremely annoying.
Who cares if your score is still above 800?

Just came back from Royalton Splash Punta Cana which is a Royalton chain that recently joined the Marriott brand, I used the 5 night award from last year's promo and was able to get the rooms but had to pay extra resort fees (less than 100/day) as it was an all inclusive meals + drinks for a family of 4.

Found out the answer as I didn't see it posted, you can't use the 4 night carts to get 5th free, only if you use your points then that's ok

When I go to Marriott website to search how much a hotel costs in points, it only gives me the total points needed per stay (i.e. 3 days). How do I get breakdown showing points cost per day (in case one of the nights exceeds 65K and I can't top off the certificates)?

I did this last October apparently (because that's when my nights were set to expire.) We Booked at a Marriott in Key Largo earlier in the month with only 3 weeks notice. Had I planned my vacation a little sooner I probably could have gotten a hotel directly in Key West. I'm going to refer my husband and open one in his name for next year's vacation. We hadn't been on one in almost 20 years. This deal is definitely slick and half the reason we had a vacation at all. The southwest card companion pass deal from earlier in the year is the other half Wink Already referred hi for that but the companion pass deal was expired by then.

And who in their right mind would think it WASN'T a hard pull? I've never in my life heard of a soft pull for a new credit account of any type.

On the page where you pick the room, under "redemption," click the plus sign next to "customize payments" and it will show a per-night point breakdown.

C'mon, show some empathy for OP, who was "annoyed" by the hard pull. That Chase has some nerve investigating his/her creditworthiness before extending credit!

Since I already have the bonvoy Amex, could my wife sign up for this card but use my Marriott member number so the bonus and points go to my account?

No, but she can transfer points to your account and vice-versa (you have to call Marriott and it's free). However, she cannot transfer the 5 free nights, just points. Even though the offer mentions points, Marriott considers them :"free nights" which are not transferrable. My wife got the bonus last year since I already had the card and found out when she called to transfer. What I did was transfer just enough points to her account from mine to get a 6th night. If you have higher status, the booking will consider your wife's status, not yours.

Amex almost always does only a soft pull for a new card for existing customers

Good question, I was thinking of same, and also they don't list the additional cardholder member fee, is it free?
