This should be front page. This is the pinnacle of fantasy. It doesn't get any better.

Great deal but does anyone have any suggestions where I can get this set or other sets in the audiobook version. I had audible for a few years but I get tired of paying the fee. I've even done the "request to cancel" my membership in order to get them to discount it to $99 for the year but even getting all 12 credits up front- I blink and they are gone haha I've also used libby but a lot hasn't made it there to borrow. Any suggestions to get discounted or even bundled audiobooks for less than full price. It gets very expensive. Thanks

Great deal but man I love-hate the Malazan series.

First six books are great and from 8, it feels like someone else wrote the books.

Agreed, there are some amazing sequences in the series. But there is a lot of confusing, I just have to force myself to read through this stuff too. Near the end the series really felt like a chore. I think it needed a lot more editing than it got.

One of my favorite podcasts/podcasters (DLC podcast/Jeff Cannata https://www.patreon.com/dlcpod), started a 'book club' for this series. I havent read the books but I imagine it'd be of interest to those to have! The audio podcast is a patreon exclusive for his DLC podcast, but all episodes are also available for free on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KobfEYFceg

I agree. But the pinnacle is still Stormlight Archive and the Cosmere.

I bought these based on what the couple people above said about them, but others should note... there are pieces missing from series and they're all in epub format.

Epub and DRM free is a big plus, IMO.

I like epub, but some folks like PDF as well.

I do, but I still am not sure on the answer as I'm new to this series. Looks like it has all the Steven Erickson books but none of the Ian Esslemont books, correct? Are these essential?

You could try local library. They usually have partnership with overdrive which has audiobook selections. Another option is to use a TTS (text to speech) ebook reader. You can load epub/mobi/etc and it'll use the TTS engine to read it out loud. I recommend moon reader for TTS ebook reader
