Edit: Wohoo!! I managed to get best buy to price match it. It took 3-4 hours chatting with different representatives until one finally budged and gave me the price match of $512! Funny thing is I almost gave up before the last rep said they'd match it. Out of stock in my local town so I drove an hour away to a neighbor state to pick it up. My advice to anyone: keep asking new best buy chat reps. Don't get discouraged. Persistence is key. Good luck!

Good thing I've documented everything and even screen recorded the entire chat conversation that I had with agent josh where he agreed to the price match. I said "Costco.com" and he didn't even ask for link. Just approved it. I have just started going to social media today on Facebook and Twitter both with the screen recording of the price match and have been spamming their comments etc with the screen recording and complaint I have. Best Buy has messaged me on both Facebook and Twitter but they have not responded to my dm response back yet.

What absolute BS. This company is a disgrace.
For anyone wondering, the set was purchased early Sunday morning and picked up at 11am. So I assume every set that was bought with a promised PM email and refund will be denied like mine was.
Really should take this to social media. Put them on blast all day on that thing that should be called Twitter and any other platform.
We'll be returning this one it looks like.
