Do these have the double click button issue caused by Logitech using cheap switches?

My son is on his third g502 - the first two eventually developed the double click issue. But he got about 2 years of hard use out of each one before it happened, and he likes the mouse's performance so much that he considers it worth it.

Some of the reviews show a braided cable, and others show a thin rubber one. My 502 has a braided cable, are these legit or did Logitech downgrade the cable?

I think my first one lasted about 6 years before it started happening. These are incredible mice otherwise, so I just went and bought another 502. I actually have one in the closet, brand new, as a backup. I just wait for sales.

Yes, i just had to replace mine after 6 month. Other than that, it is a fantastic mouse.

I have one that is about 6+ years old, and it has a braided cable. Use it at home. The one I use at work that I got about a year ago came with a rubber cable.

Anecdotally yes. I have mine since March 2020 and I dont have issues. Granted I haven't played Diablo with it but I travel with it so it gets bumped and shoved into bags a lot.

But... I also still have G500 from January 2013 Smilie I had to replace a wire on it and it started to misbehave a little on right click but it still looks good and feels good. I wonder if I can troubleshoot that right click somehow, same way I disassemble and replaces the braided wire
