Jansport
We've had amazing luck with Pottery Barn Kids and PB Teen backpacks.
Still going strong.
I use it for travel (almost every weekend).
Not cute but it lasts despite my abuse of it.
There are still no tears/holes and zippers still work.
Jansport used to sell backpacks at Target called "Trans by Jansport". They were cheaper, still had the lifetime warranty, but had TRANS in big letters on them. Perfect for LGBTQ crowd folks of course, but I'm pretty sure the branding was unintentional.

For real, still have my jansport from 25 years ago. I use it still when traveling and going to the pool/beach/overnight. Same timeless design as back then too.
Thought maybe putting in cart and checking out might take 50 off but it was still full price.
