People need to look at replacement filter availability and cost NOT the cost of the unit. These are just fans and HEPA filters. They are essentially nearly all the same. There are fancy ionization technologies, yeah sure that's all fine and well, but the HEPA filter is doing 95% of the filtration if not more.

If you want/need continual air filtration, pick a model with easy to obtain, relatively inexpensive replacement filters as they'll need to be changed every 3-6 months to remain effective.

Something else to keep in mind, the U.S. DOE set the first ever national energy efficiency standards for consumer air cleaners a few weeks ago. Compliance is required by the end of 2023. There will likely be sales of a lot of units that are inefficient since by next year, it won't be legal to sell them.

If you run these things pretty rarely, not likely a big deal for you, but if you're someone who runs an air purifier 24/7 in the summer to help with allergies or some other high usage use case, it's something to keep in mind.

Consumer air cleaners are eligible for the Energy Star label, so always helpful to look for that logo if electricity usage/bills are a concern.

I bought 3 of the Air320's for $80/each from the Woot.com deal a few weeks ago. They are louder than Winix 535 at their max setting but look much better costmetically with about the same coverage. I had a bunch of extra Winix charcoal prefilters and they fit pretty well in the Air320 as I wasn't not sure how well the built-in cloth prefilter would work. Based upon the square footage for the Air220, I'd probably go with a Winix instead -- especially if they were to go on sale at Costco for $100-$120 as you'd get an additional year of filters.

Its literally right on the page, under the image. I already received mine [ordered 4 got 8], so yes its BOGO.

"Buy One Get One Free when you purchase this bundle!

Keep your BISSELL® air220 air purifier running at its best by replacing the HEPA + Pre-Filter every 6 months. Regular maintenance, including replacing the filter with Genuine BISSELL® filters, means your machine can keep capturing dust, pet dander, pollen, odors, and VOCs in the air. When you buy a BISSELL® product, you help save pets, too. We're proud to design products that help make pet messes, odors and pet homelessness disappear."
I saw it on the page, but adding to the cart, I don't see BOGO, but I noticed the price for two was $50, now it is marked $25, maybe that's what the BOGO meant in this case?

Im not sure what you mean, I don't know how to make it any simpler for you. If you buy 1, you get 2, if you buy 2, you get 4. When you add it to the cart it literally tells you how many you will be getting: BUNDLES INCLUDES QUANTITY etc. 1 filter is comprised of a set of HEPA filter + the Charcoal filter. Normally its $50 for this filter for 1, it's now Half price for that which is 25 however you will now get 2! for $25 which makes it 12.50 each. You stack the coupon which makes it even cheaper. The image displays 2 items but those 2 items = 1 filter = HEPA+Charcoal filter

1 filter = comprised of the HEPA/Charcoal filter will last 6 months.

$25 dollars will get you a year's worth of use which equates to 2 filters (2HEPA/2Charcoal filters)

A small hack, you can vaccum the filters and clean them up once a month and they will last you a long time

I used to do this as well but I had a few individuals post that the strength of the vacuum actually breaks the fiberglass or other fibers that make the filter effective.

I want to say wow I agree but at the same time if you think about it the power of the fan sucking the air via the filter in that case should also break the fibers right?, especially at full power these units are very strong. I have the A320 😂 this is something they would like to tell you so you go and spend 100$ a year on filters. Remember these companies need revenue, they need to make $$$ and have the customer keep coming back for more more more 👍

I think it is highly dependent on direction. The fan on the unit is pulling air through the filter per the arrow indicating the direction that the air should flow across the filters. The filter fibers are built to accommodate this directional pull of force. That flow is also across the entire area of the filter so less force. The only way to clean the filter would be to use the opposite direction otherwise you would just be lodging more contaminants into the filter. Subsequently, the vacuum is pulling those fibers backward and if you are using a shopvac the nozzle is applying a significantly larger amount of force and in a smaller area thus potentially breaking the fibers. I'm lucky and get a full year out of my filters and just stock up when they go on-sale to avoid the hassle anymore.
