Been debating between this and a P1S. I like the increased printing area, and soon to be open source slicer. They seem to have corrected a lot of the issues that were present with the K1 (extruder issues, most notably).

On the other hand bambu seems to have a good knack for making user ready/friendly devices so you're less worried about the printer and more focused one actually printing. Plus they have AMS. Though their privacy policy is atrocious.

What to do….

By the way someone in the k1 thread said this retailer is not good. FYI.

The AMS is fantastic, and I can't imagine not having it now. However, I hear Creality is working on an equivalent. Not sure if privacy policy is any better with Creality as I have not read it, but most companies should just save time on their privacy policy and just say "NONE" as the summary.

Yeah. It's a tough choice for me because I want a smooth experience out of the box that Bambu offers with I think slightly better print quality at the moment and AMS.

On the other hand, the larger print area and the open source nature of creality's software will probably make for some cool community tweaks and fixes.

Expensive machines either way, so I want to be comfortable with my choice once I make it.

There's also the consideration of "staying power" of the brands.

Creality isn't going anywhere, parts are cheap, the community support is massive, and mods are plentiful.

Bambuu is new, so the future is less certain (but they sure got a solid start), parts are proprietary, and the user base is much smaller.

It's a tough call either way. I wasn't a fan of how much material is wasted by AMS so it's never really impressed me, build volume would be the bigger deal for myself.

I'm just excited to see what improvements competition brings, I'll probably be waiting it out a few more years before ditching my S1.

I just paid 850 for mine w code at creality store not 3weeks ago.
I love it and hate it
It pretty much just does it all and all for you... You really have no control as of yet over the machine, like for example Z height , it just does it for you and every print has a elephant foot, no not like a terrible one but it has it and I invested in a one of those deburr knife things.
I know the slicer and the interface will catch up and change for the better but man still worth it even with bugs,
Thing I hate the most is my other 3 machines are collecting dust now like I just built a big dumb enclosure around a ender 5 and loved doing asa and polycarbonate in it for a week and then this thing came

Fast printing makes you lazy imo makes me lazy AF .

If you can get one get it, or wait price will only get lower especially round Christmas.
Lastly creality is giving away camera, hotend, and extruder upgrade kits for the K1 for 3$ to all K1 owners which is dope
So grab a k1 for cheap and upgraded for nothing with all the fixes

Is it as easy to use as Bambu? My p1p has just been ridiculously easy... 1 clog in a year and it was an easy fix.

If this is similar it may be worth a pickup from me. Is it literally, load STL, slice and print? Cause that's what I love currently. Just would like the bigger plate for helmets

Yep that easy. that's basically my work flow now, I don't even have to get up to start it up since it's on one of those WiFi surge protectors.

You know the old way of slice load on sd then plug it in then wait for it to start adjust z etc etc

I've come from that literally this month, I miss it, like I need that punishment to keep mind onto next print
Anyway I've been through about 4 rolls of different materials prints asa amazingly and only had one complete failure due to not laying any glue stic down after cleaning the bed🤷

If you have the money for bamu prices maybe wait until they come with their next large format printer? I mean they are going to right? Your already in the bamu space 🤷

I don't think you'll be disappointed though.
I was disappointed to see creality k1 extruder problems, but they stepped up fixed it and gave it to their customers for 3$ along with other upgrades which is awesome to see and the main reason I purchased the k1max. I really held out buy it until I saw what the fix was and how they did it. they had a problem they listened and fixed it imo

Man you got me tempted, lol. But you are right that bambu has got to put out an XL version eventually, so I'm kinda tempted to wait for that since the p1p is just doin work and not really a bottleneck yet. I just want to print helmets easier, lol

Can anyone confirm this deal? Seems a bit too good to be true, and TrustPilot reviews for this vendor are mixed, with reddit threads indicating lots of scammers on this platform.

I want to give the OP a big thThank You for posting this deal, I was debating which 3D printer to go with between Bambu or Creality. I was looking for something that can handle bigger prints, and might be faster at printing. I've been using a Monoprice Cadet 3D printer and I have been really enjoying that little 3D printer (A different deal I got from from Slickdeals for $9x.xx, only to less than 1 week later after ordering a different deal on Slickdeals had the 3xact same 3D printer it for $7x.xx 😤😡). But hey that's just part of the game, I also thought that maybe I should wait for Black Friday/Cyber Monday also. But I finally pulled the plugged in this deal mostly because IMHO I think it's going to a while I will find it any cheaper or for a cheaper price than what I ended paying for this 3D printer right now. Sure there might be cheaper price during Black Friday/Cyber Monday but that's a chance I don't really want to take. Now if only this printer will just be as easy to use as my Monoprice Cadet but I'm sure I'll find out soon enough. from my research this 3D printers like it is as easy to use as MP Cadet 3D Printer but incase it is not all that great or easy to use then I'll just sell it off. But seriously how could one pass up and pretty New to Market printer with all of these capabilities for only $608.xx. As for buying from Geekbuying from my experience with this company on previous purchases that I've ordered which are 2 x Miyoo Mini's (another deal from Slickdeals) and I have received the products without any problems or issues, plus a Raspberry PI 4B 8gb (yep you guessed it another Slickdeal too). Which I received with no problems or issues also. But I also purchased everything with PayPal just incase, but tbh I dont forsee any issues ordering from Geekbuying. But I'll let Y'all know if I do, now I know someone is going to respond or ask how did I get this for the price I did so I'll break it down :

Geekbuying Creality K1 Max 3D printer - $849.99
Slickdeals Coupon code - $799.00
Geekbuying giving an additional $10.00 off purchase of $200+
Sold POS Sovol3D SV07 (bought from a different deal posted here) for $100.00
3 x Free filaments with purchase from Geekbuying $80.97
Free shipping $0.00

So math looks like this :
$849.00 (Geekbuying price)
-$50.00 (Slickdeals coupon)
=$799.00 (Price after coupon)
-$10.00 (Extra for using PayPal checkout and purchase over $200.00)
=$789.00 (So total price after all coupons and discounts)
- $100.00 (Money from selling POS Sovol3D SV07)
=$689.00 (Total price I paid)
-$80.97 (Free filament cost from Geekbuying)
=$608.03 (Total out the door so to speak, not including what I saved on S/H)

Once again Thank Y'all for this deal, really looking forward to trying out and using this 3D printer. The only thing I hate is the waiting for it to ship and get here but it is supposedly coming from USA so really hoping it gets here faster that the other products I've already bought before from Geekbuying...
