I just purchased one for our preteen. He doesn't need anything fast, and he can ride it to school if he needs too. At $250, If it gets banged up, or even stolen it's not a huge loss. Easier loss to swallow than say $700 like the G30LP, I have.

The solid wheels make the ride a little rough but you don't have to worry about flats. Overall build quality is pretty good. You might need to tighten the screws in the stem every week or so.
