Beware there are no Linux kernel drivers for the hardware in this machine, so you're stuck with windows for now. You won't have Wi-Fi, and can't have Wi-Fi, until that gets updated.

Just go into settings\recovery\reset and click on "reset this PC". Choose the option to remove everything and let it reinstall. It will use the same key.

I have 3 of these machine for the office, they work tremendously well for it. Office/Excel/Browser. Super fast and clean, just BE AWARE to re-install windows.

These machine comes with a default windows 11/10 but there is a software that comes with it, that you can see it under START UP services. I forgot the name but please make sure you reinstall windows.

I would probably only buy a NUC as a linux box. This seems like a serious oversight.

Not sure if it was mentioned elsewhere but Beelink has like 4-5 listings for this same model. I just got one that was $60 off for a total of $145.

The Trigkey with the same specs that is also the same specs is $140 currently. I'd go with that over the Beelink just based on price. The N100 is a great CPU for browsing and video playback on low power consumption. I'm going to buy one of the Firebat systems for the hell of it. It's a great value alone.
Ordered the Trigkey with 3 year warranty just in case. I disabled the burn-in, updated, used CCleaner to delete all the MS crapware (and clean registry), and it's running well. The fan is louder than I expected. The SSD seems to run slowly though. I'll run CrystalMark to verify what I'm observing. WiFi speeds are slower than my mobile devices also. Overall, no complaints due to the price.

The NVME interface built into the chipset is a 3x interface, and I believe it's limited to 2x speeds, so in theory with a top of the line 3x2 NVME interface you can expect peak speeds of about 1600mbps. In reality with a more off the shelf NVME drive, I'd expect closer to 900mbps. Intel had to make some limitations into the chipset to force you to the 12/13th gen platform for power users.

They have almost the same CPU performance but the n100 has a much better built-in GPU and uses much less power.
Hi can you help me with these minis. Which mini pc is good for just runing windows for surfing and email check?

I did a clean install of W11 a couple of times and Windows activated with no fuss. Intel driver update assistant helped out with video driver etc. However, chipset driver is only available from Beelink website (entire driver set in a single zip file).
I am using this as a hobby OS box (multiboot Windows 11, Linux, freebsd, Haiku etc.) and it works great!!!

A mini PC powered by Intel N95 or N100 with 16GB ram and 500GB SSD should be more than enough for your needs

These are getting to be so great and cheap. Since I dont game anymore I see one inevitably in my future. Then I can ditch a lot of clutter from my desktop. I'll just sticky tape it to the back of my monitor/

Even though I just heavy websurf, I want 16GB of RAM, and I worry the N100 wont be enough to remove any cpu bottleneck. So I may wait and spend the extra ~$100 on a Ryzen 6 core 12 thread model.

This doesn't have an optical output; currently I am connecting my home theater PC to a receiver via Optical cable; (it's a very old receiver and doesn't have HDMI input)

My question: Is there a way to use optical cable to connect this mini PC to my receiver, TIA.

Yeah you can buy USB to Optical Sound Cards anywhere from $10 to $200 depending on quality.

BTW I ended up ordering the EQ12 which has dual NICs and USB-C for $177.
