I have installed Haikus and MinkaAire. Both are very comparable as far as looks, functionality, air flow, Alexa integration. Haikus are lighter, the LED is brighter, and the remote is definitely slicker and more functional than MinkaAir. MinkaAir comes in different colors and patterns and are cheaper than Haiku. Haiku extensión rods are more expensive due to integrated cables.
Also, Alexa integration is awesome. Alexa, turn on the living room fan for 15 minutes….turn the fan faster…turn off the fan light in 5 minutes etc. Rarely have to touch the remote.
Anyone installing a ceiling fan should consider the longest downrod you can safely install for your room height. More gap between the ceiling and the fan blades, more airflow at the same speed. It's almost logarithmic and not linear.
In order to move air you need a strong motor and an aggressive blade pitch. Cheaper fans have neither and spin like crazy but move no air. They are more for show than actual cooling. Unfortunately Hunter now makes a lot of crappy cheap big box store mass produced fans. Casablanca used to be a quality high end fan but not sure if they are even in business anymore.

It's also far quieter. Much more stable / balanced. Built to last. Amazing customer support.
No brainer for me.
I think most fans these days are pretty quiet and once installed and functioning, I don't see the need to be calling support. The ones we have are supposedly whisper quiet too and they're spinning freely and balanced. But I think that's just part of the installation as opposed to anything that this fan provides. But I'm all for having fans around the house. So if this is a deal for some then that's great. It does look cool though so I give you that
Do these actually move air? The only brand I trust at this point in my life is Hunter. Everything else is barely noticeable even at high speeds.
I ordered an Ensenior DC fan off Amazon after seeing it here a few months ago. Installation was a nightmare (peculiarities of my ceiling), but it's absolutely silent except for moving air. And it moves a great deal of air, almost too much on the lowest setting. Putting it on high is like a turbine engine. Very happy with it though, and I only bought Hunter previously. I think I'm sold on DC fans now.
The sensor is not a ac, and lavander never said it was. Think of the sensor like a thermostat that controls the ac. The sensor just turns on the fan once it reaches X temperature
Which is dumb, because it's only useful when you are in the room. That's just a gimmick that wastes energy, and it will just run indefinitely for no reason.
Not sure I understand your comment re: smart switches. I have a Leviton switch running a very old Hunter fan in my living room. With Alexa/ST integration I can adjust the speed of the fan from 1-100%, I can set schedules and routines, determine temperature ranges through smart thermostat at which the fan will run and also speeds through those ranges, and so on. I do have a separate switch for the downlight on the fan, but I understand that there are combo smart switches that incorporate both functions into one wall plate slot.
And yes, most remotes included with fan sales these days are crap low/med/hi/off and light dimmer.
My comment was indeed talking about most fans sold today, ie. big box store stuff like hunters which have the remote receiver tied to everything. Apparently , new construction rarely run 2 wires to fans now because of them. In my case, every fan in the house is run off a remote. Its not something I even thought about asking during construction. I have Lutron smart switches on most everything but in the case of fans, that doesn't fill my needs.
We bought a 60" fan from Home Depot about a month ago and we're extremely satisfied! It's not a smart fan but like others have said, you can make it a pretty smart fan with a Lutron fan switch. First fan I've had that moves so much air and is balanced and extremely quiet out of the box. Looks great too! Very satisfied and only $200

Last year i bought a 72" parrotuncle fan to put in the bedroom. 5he ceilings in there are 11ft and i installed it on the shortest downrod which it comes with. Granted, not a smart fan, but when i say this fan moves air, it feels lile a jet engine moving air. 6 speeds, 6 being the slowest, but the 6 on that fan is like the fastest setting plus 1 on any other fan ive owned. The 1 on this fan feels lile the roof will fly off. I wish it had slower settings than the 6, but we mainly use it on 6 and dont have it running for too long due to the crazy chill breeze. https://www.homedepot.com/p/318844491
In the livingroom i have an 80" on the 11ft ceiling from modern forms, the windflower 80 model which is a smart fan, and it moves air decent, more smoothly due to the slower speeds, but for comparison, the fastest speed on the 80" is slower than the slowest setting on the parrotuncle one.

There's one feature with BAFs that you will probably not find anywhere, it's the "whoosh" feature. It basically creates airflow that mimics a natural breeze. It's great for sleep!
I have 5 BAF fans, 2 ES6, and 3 Haiku L. They're amazing fans! What's even more amazing is their support.
