I have 5 BAF fans, 2 ES6, and 3 Haiku L. They're amazing fans! What's even more amazing is their support.
Only its asses are.

Here's my problems with them:
1. No standard wall remote
It includes a nice bulky IR remote, because it is a DC fan, not an old AC fan with a pull string, and a wall mount for said remote. I would like to have at least the option for a powered, or even battery, remote that fits into a standard wall switch (ie. Lutron fan remotes). These use to include them, but no longer do. So now I have large remotes in their mounts glued onto blank switch panels, just doesn't look great. They have a $50 option on their store but they only work with the $1,200+ Haiku models. Even $130 fans Hunter fans have this.
2. No Homekit support
They have a tweet from ~2019 claiming HK is "almost here," you can find posted on reddit. You can use HomeBridge (via a raspberry pi) but I've had issues with the plugin (ie. hiding the light or reverse switch). At the very minimum they need to release a hub to show their fans to HomeKit. The joke is the Wifi module is OEM for Hunter fans, which mostly offer HomeKit. The app has no family support so only one person can use it, unless you want to juggle logins. App works fine but for a $750 MSRP fan I except at least the support $200 fans have.
Anyone installing a ceiling fan should consider the longest downrod you can safely install for your room height. More gap between the ceiling and the fan blades, more airflow at the same speed. It's almost logarithmic and not linear.
Anyway, I would definitely buy this fan again if it was this price and I was in a new home... so hopefully when I move later, I'll be able to get another one of them at or near this price.
…and regarding fan speed/CFM, when did you last run on full speed for longer than a minute or so?
Thanks for the insight on carro fans. I never heard of the company but the fans look really nice and are comparatively super cheap
I bought an 84 from home depot for 387...😅
