Considering I'm the guy who gave the extra 15% off code, I'd hope you'd not be so dense as to think it's "mindless slagging"... but there's always that guy.
Buy one and try it, your results may differ depending on the game, equipment, etc, so I don't want to spout a bunch of specific details that may or may not be true for all given situations. What I will say is that 100% on my setup, with this controller vs one using Microsoft hardware, I lost strong AA (if you don't know what AA stands for, just forget I ever said anything and move on) in a Microsoft published game. That's all I'm going to say, it may not affect or be noticed by other people in other situations but that is what I found on my particular setup.

Aim assist. I'm cryptic because I really don't want to start any more conjecture (too late for that
Also for anyone wondering, it does report in Windows as an XINPUT device when plugged in, also the Hall effect sticks are very precise, much more so than the other controller I was testing with that cost more than 5x as much.
Thanks--I see the picture you are referencing, but nowhere on the box that I saw does it say that, but I threw the box away, so I could very well be wrong. The box said designed for Xbox or something like that? It does actually come with a code for a free month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and it's detected in Windows as an XINPUT device, so I wouldn't be completely surprised if it is licensed, but here's the rub, it's a wired only controller, and only controllers that use actual Xbox hardware can use Xbox wireless since it uses proprietary frequencies. Since it's wired only, I'm assuming the Gamesir controllers are not using Microsoft hardware (or obviously they'd have the ability to be wireless as well). The three major premium controller brands (I'm including Microsoft Elite here) all use actual Microsoft hardware in their controllers, and are wireless/wired. Maybe there's some grey area where you can be licensed but not use actual Microsoft hardware... either way I feel like there is some funny business going on here but just because one random guy on the internet has found something he can very much duplicate and demonstrate on his setup does not make a general fact. That's it and that's all
I started this add-on discussion to the deal, and since there are actually interesting responses and questions I do want to respect, plus I'm genuinely curious to know if others can replicate this, I posted a video of exactly what I am seeing with the details--and annoyingly quoted everyone to get their attention.

I dont know if you want to bother. But maybe start the game with the gamesir as the only controller and see if AA works. Maybe its the 2nd controller that loses AA due to the bug.

Yeah, that was a bug from launch they fixed a long time ago, but thanks for the reminder. I did retest this just now to make sure, I rebooted my PC, left all controllers off/disconnected, plugged the Gamesir in, turned my mouse completely off, loaded up Halo, hit the A button on the Gamesir to start the game on the title screen so there could be no issue with other controllers/aiming devices. Went into training mode and the same thing. Very little aim assist if any, felt terrible.
I am hoping though that this is still some kind of bug... I know that the Halo developers recently implemented a slight aim assist for KBM players (keyboard and mouse) and although I haven't played much KBM, it could be that somehow the Gamesir/non Microsoft controllers are being assigned the much lower level of aim assist meant for mouse input. But as I stated before, the Gamesir shows up in Device Manager as an XINPUT HID specifically, so....?
One other thing I didn't mention in my previous posts, is that in the one ranked game I played with the Gamesir, partway through the game I got insta disconnected ("Disconnected from host"). My PC was still connected to the internet, and I cannot remember the last time I ever got DC'd like that (if you DC from a match due to lag/network down, generally you will stay in the match lagging out for some time before it kicks you, you don't get insta-kicked). I have a small suspicion that the anti-cheat software may be looking for non-Microsoft hardware and kicking players using them, but that's a pretty far reach, way further than just the straight up lack of aim assist.
