some of the more recently manufactured 5ah powerstacks come bundled with a DCB1104 charger instead of the old DCB115, even though the box has a DCB115 pictured on it. DCB1104 is a 2 stage, 4ah charger that will prolong the life of your battery

I'm highly interested in a two stage charger. However the few details I found so far is that it is a two stage LED so you know when it is between 0-80 or 80-100%.
Did you find any info about a charge profile? It seems to just be straight 4A?
The DCB1102 also looks interesting for something more compact.
I got the 4 ah batteries in a previous deal and they work good. They are a little wider than standard batteries which was weird but I never had any issues

They tried making them smaller, they where the same size as the 5ah. They got them shorter in height but made them wider which makes them look weird and outdated.
I've been waiting for some deals on dewalt 20 volt flashlights and here are my thoughts on the three in this deal. First of all yes there are much cheaper options around for the same specs but if you're like me you're trying to stick in the DeWalt 20 volt battery ecosystem. There are off brand flashlights that use the DeWalt batteries but they really weren't much cheaper for what you get. Anyway back to the 3 DeWalts:
The small flashlight (DCL040) is only a couple of dollars cheaper on Woot! than on Amazon $38. So this isn't a super special deal. I ended up getting a like new open box on Amazon for $26 and there's a handful of them that are still for $28. Keep in mind this is not a super bright light but when you're working in a dark spot and you want a spotlight you don't want something that's going to blind you. If you want a wider area or a rider light then...
The strip light (DCL050) is a good small broader area light but is likewise only this deal is only a few dollars cheaper versus Amazon. Currently there aren't any good open box options so I just passed.
The big spotlight (DCL043) however looks like a solid deal so I pulled the trigger on that one via Woot!
The dewalt batteries are worth their cost. I would never use a battery from HF, both for safety and longevity reasons.
I'm not knocking the quality of the DeWalt lights. I have three Craftsman versions of the worklights and I really like them, especially the Underhood light CMCL090 and the CMCL050 worklight which I paid like $40 and $20 for.
It's just the insane prices Stanley/ Black & Decker charges for them when put them out in Dewalt yellow. It's the same light.
