Ioniq 6 SE Standard Range RWD Lease - $281/mo with $5k down. Plus $2,500 off if you own a Hyundai! Looks like a great value, if you can find one.

Expires 9/5/2023.

I would be interested in hearing if anyone is actually able to obtain this deal from their local dealership.

I've heard you should never put money down on a lease because
If/when the car is a total loss, you will not recoup anything.

I am interested in the reasons for the thumbs down. The Ioniq 5 (basically same car, different shape) front page post (see below) was $50 more per month... Why was that a better deal than this?

My guess would be due to the recent Hyundai recalls. I'd hate to have my vehicle blow up just by parking out in the sun.

Figuring every $1k is $30. So effectively nothing down $430 a month?

Eh… $400 a month maybe.

RWD in any state that it snows in is often a terrible choice. Just saying.

RWD works fine in wintry states if you use true snow tires.

You've heard wrong. Research gap insurance.

Hyundai=Garbage 🗑️
I've had 3 and one engine seized in the middle of the highway
Now I own 2 Teslas
Best cars I've had
Best warranty
Easiest to drive
Great service and warranty
Charging network is great
0-60 in 3s on my M3P stealth, so much better looks than Hyunday
Those Hyundai EV are a pain to find any charges when traveling
What happen to the other two Hyundai?

My wife is real wheel drive and as long as I give her a nudge she is good to go in the snow and ice

I didn't thunbs down but my rationale would be that it is an ioniq 5 but without the room so why get this when you can get a 5, I would also want AWD and long range, and right now I don't trust hyundai even though from "feel" the ioniq 5 has been the best EV SUV/crossover I've been in and I've been in all of them.

Was surprised to see how many non-Tesla EVs i saw driving around in Europe on a recent visit. Lots of Hyundais, VWs, BMWs, and several more of brands we don't have here or we don't have those models on the market. Granted the charging infrastructure in at least NW Europe seems miles ahead of what we have here so far but the diversity in EV offerings also makes me feel like we re getting a bit shafted on choice.

I am little confused by your calculation. If $1000 is $30, the $430 payment will put the price od the car at $14,333 which is unrealistic. These cars are priced upwards of $41,000, depending on the model.
