The "F" in the CPU name means this one requires a discreet graphics card to function. Even if the board has integrated graphics this won't work without a dedicated GPU.
A 5800x3D with a similarly specced ITX motherboard will cost notably more money than this combo. Even a budget AM4 ITX motherboard pushes the cost to be more expensive. A 7800x3D alone costs about the same as this combo. 8800x3D is supposedly even better - and will assuredly still cost a lot more - and still doesn't actually exist so is a moot point for someone looking to build an ITX system now.

A 12700KF + this motherboard is a solid deal with great performance. Paired with a decent GPU it would be an ITX build capable of playing any game out there for years to come.
This is great deal. Sometimes DDR4 boards are cheap, but any good DDR5 ITX board (especially AMD AM5 boards) is outrageously expensive.

My Asrock B650E was $280 alone, and its a "deal" compared to the Asus boards.

The reviews dont look unusual to me.

Wonder if anyone one here has experience with the board. Some of the reviews have me a bit hesitant on pulling the trigger. Seems like a great deal though for an itx build

5800x3d still beats this in gaming, 7800x3d even better, and zen5 next year is supposedly gonna be 30% even better. i'd wait for the 8800x3d

Debating pulling the trigger. Got an NR200p waiting for itx parts for my first new build in 8+ years. Really wanted an AM5 itx board but don't like the selection and feel they are overpriced. In reality this will be massive upgrade from my 3570k that's really showing some age.

It does look like this same combo was $325 about 2.5 months ago. I've read the PC market was over stocked and that has been drawn down so not sure we will see those prices again. Really on the fence...

That $325 combo deal was apparently a pricing error, and apparently a lot of the orders got canceled. Something about a CPU discount being applied twice I think.

I went from a 10 year 3570k trusted workhorse to a 12700k DDR4 build and couldn't be happier with the results. IMO Intel nailed the 12th gen.

Meanwhile your skills and practice are going to be way more important than having the latest/greatest piece of technology. Of course there is an exception to this for actual pro level players, but the vast vast majority of people are not there and having fancier equipment isn't going to change anything for them.

The non-F version combo was once $405 besides the $320 double dipping $70 coupon that lasted like 2 minutes.

Generally I am not against F sku but for ITX especially sandwiches layout using a riser, integrated graphics can be very helpful. Also worth mentioning the Intel has algorithms utilizing integrated graphics to accelerate in Adobe software suites especially AE I believe if it's your use case.

That's why you test it before you put it in the case =)
