I only buy seasonics, the best. HARDOCP did major stress tests on them back in the day, always passed with flying colors.

"back in the day" yes 10-15 plus years ago I'd agree 100%. Now the outlying hardware short of the video card which generally has a dedicated trunk stresses the power supplies very little.

Are you saying any power supply should be adequate these days?

Just picked one up. My power supply was a hand down from 2017. I noticed USB ports were dying recently. Everything else is new in the tower but the PSU. Thanks for the deal!

That is correct. I've had the cheapest after rebate $20-$30 Corsair's going fine for 10 years no issues for example. The only failures we see now are from the cheap little systems mostly from HP with tiny 180-230 watt power supplies.

Nah. There are definitely some bad PSUs. They would all likely work but some are very noisy/have whine noise. That would irritate the hell out of me. I've got one thats prone to that issue and so far it's has not started to whine but I am hoping that it stays that way.

Make sure the seller is amazon.com because when I clicked on that link it defaulted to some third party seller.
This one should take you to Amazon.com but don't know if SD will modify the link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0...0DER&psc=1

You are obviously very sensitive to sound. I haven't heard a power supply over cpu, gpu, and case fans in many years well actually never.
