If you're going to use this to store records I highly advise that you lightly sand where any two pieces meet and then glue them together with wood glue before screwing in any hardware (i.e. screws, dowels, etc). When inserting hardware, apply some wood glue for any dowels, and apply Loctite for any two pieces of metal that touch. You may want to add a few diagonal back-braces as well. Make sure all pieces that are supposed to sit at 90 degree do so.

The ikea kallax are much sturdier. I bought this same cube organizer three years ago and is flimsy compared to what ikea offers.

I am about to receive a third box, originally it said it was going to be here Friday, hopefully another Rustic Grey so I can complete one set and be done with it. The guy that got two carton 1 of 2s was the one that built a whole one.

Forgive me if I am talking nonsense here, but can we use the materials from 1 box to, kinda make a 6(or 8) cubes shelves, of course it would require some carpentry skills

No, its the top panel, one side panel, two middle panel, and 10 shelves. I mean might be able to like cut it down and make something but there is no smaller configuration these will naturally make or wouldn't look terrible

I also fell for this a few years ago when I bought a bargain trampoline and received just one of two boxes. I also bought a wheelbarrow on sale during this past winter. When we opened it up for the spring, it had busted parts and Walmart did nothing.

Thanks. yea, i meant that maybe we can cut the top panel in half(to serve as top and bottom panels), and somehow assemble the rest pieces together to look like the 2/5 portion of the whole thing, just imagine the vertical 10 cubes from the left/right side panel, using one middle panel to be the new side panel and attach it to the wall/corner. seems doable?

It's particle board and laminated surface, so you may have a fun time cutting them.

I ordered one black shelf and one white shelf, the delivered part 1 for the black and part 2 for the white. Tried chatting and they said they can schedule a pickup if I return it. Wanted to see if I can get a 50% refund, so they transferred me to someone else who then said I needed to call in. They suck so much.
