If you're going to use this to store records I highly advise that you lightly sand where any two pieces meet and then glue them together with wood glue before screwing in any hardware (i.e. screws, dowels, etc). When inserting hardware, apply some wood glue for any dowels, and apply Loctite for any two pieces of metal that touch. You may want to add a few diagonal back-braces as well. Make sure all pieces that are supposed to sit at 90 degree do so.

The ikea kallax are much sturdier. I bought this same cube organizer three years ago and is flimsy compared to what ikea offers.

I ordered one black shelf and one white shelf, the delivered part 1 for the black and part 2 for the white. Tried chatting and they said they can schedule a pickup if I return it. Wanted to see if I can get a 50% refund, so they transferred me to someone else who then said I needed to call in. They suck so much.

I have carton 1 of 2 also. I got a full refund and they don't want the box back. If anybody wants to ship me their carton 2, I can pay for shipping. Or I can send you carton 1 if you pay me shipping.😂. Otherwise, I have a useless pile of junk😕. Unless you happen to live in Spokane Washington…

Likewise, I received box 1 of 2 (BH17-084-098-86-WHITE), but not the second box (BH17-084-098-6A-WHITE) in Lawndale, CA.

Judging from the parts list, the parts are split evenly into the two boxes (I don't know why they bothered with two model numbers - perhaps in an attempt to make it clearer that it was a two-box item), so it shouldn't matter which box you have as long as you have two of them (OK, the allen key might be only in one box).

I called Walmart at 833-819-6500 and explained, and they issued me a full refund. I'm pondering whether I can bolt it on to the end of some existing shelves, but if anyone lives near Lawndale CA and has just one box, I'd be happy to supply you with the contents of my box. Word of caution: they have been unpacked and the box torn down. Easier to move the parts individually, but also easier to damage.

haha. Well, happened to me. I got box 2 of 2, but never got box 1 of 2. So I have half of a black unit. Called Walmart after their chat thing said to contact them. Supposedly having a refund headed my way. Now that I have their template, I may just buy quality boards and build my own. Will cost more than $88, but may last a bit longer (pending my craftsman skills)

Spoke to Walmart and got the refund without even returning the item

Talked to manufacturer. They said this has been discontinued and they do not have any parts. No plans to have anything bigger than 16 cube either…
So really no solution other than finding another set or putting it to the trash.
