If you have a double curtain that opens from the middle, yes you need two of these. I'll grant that it's expensive at $127 for the 2-pack. But from some google searching, that is in line with other options that require more installation and hardware. Even the DIY motorized blind videos I found had hardware costs over $100.

As these don't require any tools, I'm happy with the ease of installation. And since they're bluetooth and not wifi, the rechargeable battery lasts a long time (8 months) and is local-only by nature. I don't like having cloud-based IoT devices, so most of my home automation is z-wave, or wifi devices on a segregated network that can't talk with my main network.
They have something similar for blinds, if that's what you mean. https://us.switch-bot.com/product...blind-tilt
No, you don't need the hub. You can use the switchbot app which can connect to the curtains directly via bluetooth.

The hub is probably useful for adding it to alexa or homekit, etc. And it might also let you use the switchbot app remotely, though I haven't tried the hub yet.

Home Assistant can connect to the V2 curtains via bluetooth without needing the hub as well. I found that the V3 revision hasn't been added yet, which is a bummer, but it was only just released. The switchbot app has the same config and controls for V2 and V3, so I imagine it won't take long for the community to add V3 support with Home Assistant.

They make a product for that, though I've never used it. Looks like it does tilt/twist only (doesn't pull the string).

Edit: Slickdeals is messing with redirects. Go to their site, and in the menu under Products is the Switchbot Blind Tilt.

Thanks for hanging in there and reposting! I got an alert about your first one, and I was super disappointed when I discovered it was taken down. In for a set 💃🏽

Switchbot has the ones the clip to the wand for the blinds. I have 4 set of them for my house. They came with a solar panel for recharging the battery. It was easy to set up and use. Don't need a hub since they use BT but the hub helps to control all of them at once. It works great and has 2 modes for quiet or performance.

I have the V2 and got them for 69/ea a year ago on sale and have been happy with them. It is a bit of an annoying sound while they're moving so if that's the main thing they fixed as well as making them stronger it should be a worthwhile purchase.

I have the hub so it's part of Alexa automation tasks, opening and closing on a schedule or via voice.

We have 4 curtains in our bedroom and after calibrating the pairs it has been pretty set and forget. I got the solar panels too but this room doesn't get much direct sun. Have had to charge maybe 2-3 times in past year.

Really wish they made something for pull-cord tilt blinds

When I searched Ali for curtain bots, it did show a bunch of listings for similar products around $10. But when you click on them, they have multiple products in the same listing, and the cheap $10-$15 product is just a remote control.

Of the multiple listings I found, the actual curtain bot goes for about $40. Noticeably cheaper, sure, but not nearly as cheap as the search page would lead you to believe.

That said, the devices they're selling look very similar to the Switchbot V2. I have no idea how well they actually perform, but I'd expect them to have the same or less specs than the V2, so this V3 revision is likely better than the knockoffs by a good margin (at least until they are able to clone it).
