2. Ignore Amex, and just do the Swagbucks deal for $60 on the Plus membership. You'll then get $30 back from Swagbucks for a total cost of $30 for the Plus membership.

* If you have the Chase offer that pays you back 20% on a new membership the your will get $30 back from Swagbucks and $12 back from Chase for a total cost of $18 for the Plus membership.

Does Sam's club mark up like Costco for online items ? Thinking whether to get it just for online only purchases
Assuming you mean shipping not delivery?
Not that I've noticed.

If you have a Plus membership most of the items are available for free shipping via Fed Ex. There are a few exceptions: obviously heavy/refrigerated/frozen items, & I also have seen a handful of small light items that they wanted to charge shipping for whatever reason, but those seem to be rare?

Also there are a few items that may require you to purchase at least qty:2(usually) of the items instead of just qty:1 in order to get the free shipping(unfortunately the number of these items seem to be growing). I usually save these for the rare visit to the store if it's something I don't want to purchase 2 of. Another issue is Sam's/FedEx aren't the best at delivering(wrapping/shipping) the packages undamaged(especially anything really heavy, or in a glass bottle). Anyways, I've never had any trouble using the online chat to get them to refund or resend anything that was damaged.

Yes, I just re-joined , with an expired membership
In the Terms, it says the membership must have been expired for 6 months to be considered new. How long was yours expired for?

No value added in that comment.
They have different strengths, and many areas of overlap.
yeah because 18 years means nothing, get a clue. What store in 2023 doesn't offer order pickup? I'm not wading through the hordes of fat ppl standing in the aisles stuffing their faces with samples. Over it.

For those who are heavy Costco shoppers for groceries and other common stuff. Do you ever find yourself liking many products at Sam's? We shop all the time at Costco and like many of their products. But there is a Sam's 10 min closer to my house. I am wondering if I will ever go to Sam instead of Costco. Any personal experience with this?
I've gone for their clearance items at the end of the season, including toys, decorations, and candy after Christmas and Halloween, for example. I don't think Costco has end of season clearance. In the last couple of years they have had very little but other years I have gotten some great deals on gifts for kids and clothes for myself. I personally prefer Costco but unfortunately the closest Costco is 1.5 hours away and sams is 15 min away. I still don't find myself going to Sam's as much even though it's right here. Other things I get at Sam's because it's cheaper than the grocery store include cheese, nuts, baby carrots, sometimes pasture raised eggs if in stock, seltzers, dog dental treats, hummus, chips. I don't know how much Costco's are but I do get toilet paper and paper towels at Sam's also..again, closer and cheaper than the other stores

Fortunately I qualify for the Chase offer. Tho I've never used SB, will I receive a confirmation for the $30?

I'm seeing the $60 during checkout as such:

Plus membership
$110.00
Instant Savings
-$22.73
Instant Savings
-$27.27

You should. I just signed up for SB yesterday then purchased the Sam's Club Plus membership. It took about 24 hours and then I received the $30 confirmation email.

Membership without the freebies is not worth it. Sam's club is just bulk Walmart.
There are some staples that make it absolutely worth it for me. Shrimp for $6.50 per lb. is one of the most important. The cost savings on 93 octane fuel pays for my trip to Sam's. The $5 chicken means dinner is done and I'll get 2 qts. of stock from the carcass. The asparagus and broccoli florets provide the biggest parts of my vegetable diet. The 24 month aged parmesan is good. The meat is cheaper than Walmart and often better quality. Spices are way better value. Rice and flour are cheap and sold in quantities that make me natural disaster ready. Clothing usually sucks, but every once in a while they have some great shorts or pants for $15 and I stock up. My wife loves a good meat tube, so for $1.50 she gets a Polish hot dog snack and a drink so we arent starving while shopping. The huge Ferrero Rocher case for $11 makes an easy Christmas office gift. I can get 2 packs of Rao's marinara for way cheaper than anywhere else. I keep tuna, salmon, tilapia, and flounder stocked up. Paper plates, paper towels, dish washing detergent, laundry detergent.....I could go on, but you get the point. It's definitely worth it if you know how to use it.

i wont goto a club as its too far. what can i get shipped from Sams that is not on Amazon prime? Even with the $30 SB/$12 Chase i am not sure if this is worth signing up. We have Costco nearby for weekly instore stuff. Does Sams ship cases of water? not sure if i can trust fedex to drop it off safely..
