Is it though? Because this year's C3 is brighter than last year's C2. This years B3 is brighter than last years B2. other differences is that 2 of 4 HDMI ports are 2.1, ok, probably wont ever matter since I maximum use 2 HDMI ports, and processor is 7 instead of 9, but if you look at tech specs the only difference between these processors is 9 has 3GB of RAM, and 7 has 2GB of ram, everything else, number of cores, core speeds, memory speeds are all identical. So as far as image processing seems like a marketing gimmick to say 9 is better than 7. It technically is, but only on paper considering 9 never crosses 2GB usage for image processing.

So I dont know if this is any worse than getting a C1 or C2 really. Differences seem marginal.

That's what some people tried to say about the B2 vs the C1, but as some YouTube testers have revealed, the C series is slightly brighter and slightly more vibrant. I compared both side-by-side in Best Buy and thought the difference wasn't worth the price. I've been very amazed by my 65" B2.

No it's like getting the b2 with newer interface, with that said this price for costco and extra warranty is quite compelling. I got the 77 b2 last year for $1700 from Walmart and think it might be better for this deal with extra warranty and it's from Costco with great service.

This or 85 TCL QM8 I think this is probably better but I could even do a 75in TCL. My only concern is brightness and once in a while I use a desktop on the tv.

I have the tcl qm8 and love it. I followed the rtings calibration settings. I did find the built in software was better than my shield.

C2 would be better, has an evo panel and faster menus, more ports, thats if you can find one for 2200 or less in 77inches.

I feel like these questions are the same form last gen with b2 vs c2. It'll be the same answers throughout. Stronger/newer processor, Better/faster updates, brighter, build quality, thinner panels/edges. Not by much. Im surprised these are being discounted already.

Last year i bought the 65 b2 for 1300 at costco with warranty over the c2 at 1600 because i only watch tv at night so its bright enough and the panel and screen were already thin as hell! Moving and relocating the TV could be scary. Still happy with my purchase. If you put the screens side to side you'll notice more vibrancies and colors but when they arent side by side the differences are unnoticeable! Im sure all of this is the same regards to the new b3 and c3. I COULD BE WRONG THOUGH. Happy shopping!

You are comparing wrong things, obviously B3 vs C3, the C3 will be better, obviously B2 vs C2, C2 will be better. The comparison to be made is B3 (this year's brighter, faster) vs last year's C2. Yes, C has Evo Panels, but thats just a marketing term, this year's Evo is better than last year's Evo, this year's non Evo is better than last year non evo.... so is this years better non Evo better than last year's old Evo? Possibly?

Also by the way, if look past the naming (7 vs 9) processor on B and C series, and look at actual specs, they are exact same processor, same number of cores, same core speed, same memory speed etc. Only difference is 9 has 1 extra GB of RAM. But its not used for most things. 1GB of RAM is cheap, easy to spend a few bucks adding it to make marketing sound way better (why else do you think they skipped a number going from 7 to 9?) Because... marketing... it sounds a lot better, think of processor version 5 vs processor v 9... WOW seems like 9 is miles ahead!!! not really. But naming them 1, and 2, would be bad marketing (2 would be both in B and C series, since they are the same, and 1 would be in A, that one is different). W

And not changing anything would be a scam, so they cant do that. Out of the whole SoC, RAM is easiest/cheapest thing to change, but its not always necessary. For example, 4K chromecast has 500Mb less RAM than the 1080p version of Chromecast. (1.5GB vs 2GB). Why? because 2GB was cheaper to procure than 1.5GB modules (which may be multiple modules).

I went with the g2. My house is just too bright. I compared the b2, c2 and g2. The b2 didn't work at all for me. Night only, and no lights. C2 would have worked at night. But g2 I can usually enjoy during the day. The built in mount was a nice touch but not necessary.
