I was about to pull the trigger on the ASUS B760-I. Now second guessing myself. I prefer ASUS and MSI boards over Gigabyte for any warranty issues. Anyone have any opinions?

It's the same price on Newegg if that matters to anyone. I've been looking for a board for the NR200p case I got for $40, and this is the one. There aren't any reviews for it that I could find, but the z690 version had some extremely positive reviews so I decided to go for it. The only cheaper Z790's I could find were used ones on eBay, where you can get an Asus ROG Strix for less than $200.

Lol at Asus for warranty. I tried to warranty my Z690-I board for a known NVMe slot issue and they said my SN850X isn't on the compatible drives list so the slot doesn't read it. When I tried explaining that the drive works in the other NVMe slot they weren't having it.

i recently had a bad video out asus motherboard and they voided my warranty because my gpu plastic clip fell off (still worked fine). dont buy asus for warranty, hadda pay though my board would have been replaced due to the real issue.

for the record it was a z690 pro art. intel integrated didnt display video out on the on board hdmi. if GPU was in slot, worked fine on that card. system booted fine without gpu just no display out (worked in VM and intel graphics card was found). chip is 13600k

Asus z690 is as good or better. Anyone considering Asus z790i, don't. The external hive is prone to loose cable which is not good since it's integral part of the mobo. It's a bad novelty. I returned it for z690i and glad I did

What about the gigabyte z790i in this post vs the asus z690i? From what I understand, to the average user z690 and z790 are pretty close but the gigabyte seems like a much slicker deal price wise
