My price threshold has been distorted by the cheap monoprice guitars.

I know that they are different animals, but It's going to take a lot for me to drop $800 on a guitar.

Good price for the Am pro II if you are ok with burst color.

Also good price for the Player plus hss, which has better features than the American strat like locking tuners and noiseless pickups, if you are ok with pau ferro fingerboard and made in Mexico.

Thanks all, I edited the deal since the AmPro II went out of stock so quickly. There's a bunch more stuff on sale on Pitbull Audio's website worth checking out I didn't mention, it's a long list.

heard a lot of negative about pau ferro, it being slow, not smooth.
Found my roasted maple to be incredibly smooth.

That would certainly be a minority opinion. Pau ferro is denser than rosewood, and with fewer pores, it's actually smoother. The one issue seems to be that it dries out faster than rosewood. So, just keep it oiled and play.

Wonderful price for a Player Plus series these days. This used to be about the price for the Player (non-plus) series. Very playable after a professional setup.

(cue "Cube Baby Guy" with 5 paragraphs of why you should pair this with the Monoprice tube amp and a Cube Baby pedal)

have rosewood on my les paul, and I actually prefer the roasted maple to it.
