Interesting, you can add both keyboards to you cart for a total of $100. You could get them both and sell one.

Yup, that's exactly what I did. I know surface pro 10 is getting announced in a few weeks so they're probably trying to reduce inventory.

What would happen if you return the tablet after getting this combo deal?

They would adjust your refund appropriately.

Just as an FYI, longevity may be a bit of an issue here:
- if you get the graphite color (which comes with the black, non-staining keyboard), that will scratch up bad really fast.
- if you get the platinum color, which does NOT scratch up quite as bad (the scratches don't show as bad as it is aluminum underneath the paint), it comes with the grey keyboard, which stains really bad, really fast.

The best combination is the platinum color surface Pro paired with a black keyboard.

(Me and my wife have owned six surface Pros between us over the past eight years.)

The Surface Pro 10 will be announced in three weeks. I expect (much) better deals than this on the Surface Pro 9 if you can wait until Black Friday.

The 9 was a bit of a misfire in any event. Curious to see what the 10 brings. We'll know in about three weeks. Worth waiting in my book. Most won't care.

Does the link still work? The deal link takes me to the tablet only product page.

You add the tablet, then you add the keyboard. There's a link on the right.

This is the only deal on this website that is for the 16GB variant. Nobody in their right mind would buy an 8GB version and Microsoft knows that because they want to upsell you to the higher one. Chromium sucks down so many resources it's insane.

There's a ton of the 8GB variants of the Pro 9 available on their refurbished site, and they're cheap as hell (below $1,000) because nobody is buying them. You can get a better refurbished deal off Microsoft's site for the 16GB i7 for about $1155.

Don't buy this computer yet. Massive sales are definitely incoming.

Considering that there will be NO new Surface Pro 10 announced at Microsoft's Surface event on 21 September, I think the Surface Pro 9 prices will remain stable for the time being.

Deal is dead. The price dropped to $1299, but no more free keyboard.
