All retailers listed offer a warranty of some sort with both Amazon and Walmart offering 3 year options. The warranties (according to various reviews) covers stick drift and bumper wear. The Microsoft and Xbox online stores do NOT offer additional warranties.
1. Make sure you register your product with MS first to get the 1 year manufacturer warranty.
2. If outside the one year window, contact the insurance company to file a claim.
For $5-$8, the warranty offers a peace of mind that you won't be stuck with a $50 paper weight should things go bad.

I pulled the trigger when this was posted earlier. I've seen a lot of colors I wanted in the past but they all are pure white on the backside for whatever reason. This one makes me happy
