Note that the wired version of the Ultimate controller does not have the hall effect joysticks. 8Bitdo should have given better contrasting names to the 3 versions (wired, 2.4g wireless, bluetooth) of the Ultimate controller. The wired and 2.4g wireless versions do not have the hall effect joysticks, making them far less "Ultimate" compared to the bluetooth version.

For the people considering the Switch/PC/Android version note that the X Y A B button layout is Xbox-style, not Nintendo-style so button labels will not match in-game labels for Switch unfortunately.

I don't own this specific 8Bitdo controller but I have one of their $35 wireless controllers and it has much better build quality than a $20 PowerA wired controller.

PowerA is garbage that won't last a month. My 8bitdo controllers have lasted years. Similar or better than most OEM controllers. I can't speak for this specific model though. Pro 2 Wireless is worth the extra price IMO. If Xbox would just use Bluetooth that controller would do everything I need.

Their site doesn't specifically mentions mac support so it's unclear. I'd bet it doesn't unless someone with personal experience can chime in. Only the wireless version is listed as supported.
