It looks like they cut prices on the Model X and Model X Plaid. The base Model X now sells for $79,990 while the Plaid now sells for $89,990. All color options are included too. It also seems as if it might now qualify for a tax credit.

Edit: Model S prices were slashed too.

Model S base model $74,990
Model S Plaid $89,990

That's rough, imagine to loose 20 percent of a car value literally overnight, btw FSD went down to 12k as well. Must be inventory issue, though those are not high selling models.
that's happened to american truck buyers for 20 years... at the end of each calendar year they would suddenly have 10-15k instant rebates - ten years ago most of those trucks were 50k so the buyers from that entire year had their debt:value ratio obliterated overnight

Why we should buy a Tesla or any EV? Gasoline cars are fine and faster to buy gas instead of charging ...
it's not faster than plugging in overnight, that takes 0 minutes. i haven't been to a gas station in 2 years and only charge outside the house on road trips... at 15 minutes every 3-4 hours

so when you calculate that i pay my utility company $30/month to charge and i used to buy a full tank of premium weekly it's not a comparison

my other vehicle is a regular gas suv and it rarely makes sense to take it anywhere except to keep it alive and clean the rotors

Exactly what I was thinking, how did it go from fastest car ever made, to a very specific category of vehicle.

Also fast by what standards? Straight line performance only? When I think of a fast car, I think about what's the speed/time when you send it around a track. Testing the overall acceleration, braking, and cornering abilities.
It is fast in all regards by the simple fact that it can reliably run a 9-second quarter mile from the factory. Very few people understand how strong the acceleration is to achieve that.

Alright tesla gang, this is the first price drop. Model S is going to move to 60K. Model X is going to move to 55K. Model 3 and Model Y are going to stay at where they are. Tesla pricing the competition coming boys.

I got lots of Lucid promotion emails recently, every EV from every manufacture is very easy to get nowadays. Tesla is driving them out of business

7 seater is over 80k and I don't think that qualifies for $7500 tax credit
Just get the 5 seater, take it to a Tesla Certified shop and get the seats added for $1500.

Fastest production car, yes. Only heavily modded cars are faster than a Model S Plaid. It runs 1/4 miles 9.5 seconds at 151 mph... stock lol

FYI. You cannot lay the second row seats down flat on a 6 seater X.

The one Tesla that qualify for section 179. Deal if its last year with 100% dep. This year 27k max
What you have mentioned is bonus depreciation combined with Sec 179.
It was 100% (the first year) in 2022, 80% in 2023 and phases out by 20% there on.
