I own it. works great for my hedges. top heavy when holding at length to reach back of hedge (woman in picture is not using it that way) but that's because i am weak.

I have this model and use it regularly. Thumbs up on the deal - under $50 is a good price fora pole trimmer like this. I did look at cordless units like Ryobi but they all came in at over $150. I have some holly trees that have grown to 20 foot. Would've been bigger if I hadn't started trimming the new growth once or twice a year. Before I had this I used regular trimmer and I graduated from ground level to step ladder to the ladder against the house then MacGyvered one onto a pole and then saw this on sale a couple of years ago. I still use my regular Ryobi one plus at ground level but once it gets to above my head I switch to this. Can still maneuver the sun Joe on a step ladder a few feet off the ground. The shoulder strap helps balance and control it. Has been good on tall hedges as well.

Great deal, in for one, I realize this style hedge trimmer puts all the weight at the trimmer head and is taxing to use for long periods, but boy is it convenient. I'll manage fine as a bigger guy.

Note about the company: My sun joe pressure washer crapped out on me in less than 2 years with normal use, so I wasn't happy about that... but they did honor the warranty, I just had to box it up and send back, a half hour with customer service, and they sent me a new one. Bought the extended warranty the second time around...

Amazon price is over $70. I was able to get this reduced price from Walmart still. Looking forward to not having to get on a ladder to trim my hedges with this item.

I have the version that you can detach the pole and use it as a regular trimmer. I'm very happy with it and save $50 per trim which is the amount my gardener charges.

Just echoing what others have said. I've had this for years and still use it regularly. Absolutely worth $50 if you're looking for an extending trimmer. Paying to have my shrubs cut once is more than the cost of this trimmer so it was a no brainer.

Yeah, their CS is great, I had the expanding hose that developed leaks after 3 months, 1 call and a couple of weeks later they sent me a new upgraded hose worth $20 more than I spent.
I should add they did not want the old one back, and no shipping cost on new unit.

There is also a version that has a hedge trimmer and a chain saw attachment. I think I paid $89 a couple of years ago.
