    This is great timing as our Amazon Basics shredder just crapped out (and we babied it). I think shredders are like dehumidifiers - they are only made to last up to about 2 years. Either go cheap or buy from a store with a good return policy like Costco. I was going to drop about $250 on one from Costco and then this showed up. Ended up getting 4 of them (the limit) so I figure that's about 8 years of shredding if I'm lucky.

    Shredders are so freaking expensive nowadays. I think I bought one for under $20 probably 15 years ago, and it lasted close to 10 years. These days you're lucky to find one under $50.

    Got one back in May when they were on sale I don't shred very many papers so it does the job did have to send the first one back though it was badly cracked in the front it is cheap plastic
