I just bought the 40V 20" self-propelled for $100 at my local WM (HART 40-Volt Cordless 20-inch Push Mower (1) 6.0 Ah Lithium Ion Battery https://www.walmart.com/ip/HART-4...om=/search) Last one on the isle. Also found the brushless blower and trimmer kit for $50, 14" chainsaw for $50, hedge trimmer attachment for $15, 6ah battery for $20 and 5ah for $10. Random stop but came away with a haul.

I had to drive a bit to find a Wally that had them in stock. I eventually found the motherload (they had about 4-5 of each model), but they were all still full price.

Seems each store is slow about getting the markdowns.

The store where I live has 4 of each. the one with 2 6maH batteries (21 inch), and
the one with the 8 maH battery.

$284 for the 21 inch model.
$236 for the twin-blade one.

Other stores in this area have listed at $200, and one store even had 4 @ 194.

Not sure why my store is stuck on the higher prices.

I'd jump @ $200!

Just seems some stores aren't getting the mardowns (or haven't completed their price changes).
The prices changes came from corporate from what another store told me.

Store must have initiated deeper discounts on their own. Those prices definitely weren't corporate initiated.

I did find a couple of stores close to me that had deeply discounted the 40V mowers today.

Unfortunately, the first store I arrived at which showed stock of 1 of each was already gone early this morning the salesperson said @ Walmart. One had been marked down to $85, and the other was $150.

guy said they were display models, so I am not sure they were complete with batteries or chargers.

Next store had 6 display models that had been sitting outside for who knows how long. The price stickers were faded, and the mowers were kinda dusty. they were $150 and $200.
They accessories had been pretty picked over. I managed to get a charger and a battery, the bag, a mulching plug, and the chute deflector, and the $150 mower.

Was a chance, but everything worked fine after I got it home.

If you don't mind driving a little distance, you can get one of these cheap!

So decided to get one, ended up with the 20" Self-propelled with 6.0 Battery

Used it for the first time today
Battery lasted long enough for me to doo the front yard ~1600 SQF
Using self propelled on fastest setting is WAY to fast
Takes some getting used to for when to release the Self propelled levers

Only issue, at least to me, is the damn thing is almost too light. If you're resting on the handle-not pushing straight forward, the front wheels seem to float. Even more pronounced if walking sideways across a small hill.

Maybe after sometime, I'll get used to it

Interesting, maybe I have a different model. I thought my mower was actually kinda heavy,.

Put a brick in the extra battery space.

Alright, had to bite...

Unfortunately, the 20" self propel with 8ah advertises "over half an acre" but I got considerably less than a quarter acre... less than 8k sq ft. The lawn was not overly thick either since I just mowed over the weekend. Disappointing but I'm still thinking it was right for the price. If this thing was retail 450$ there is a 0% chance you're going to be satisfied unless you absolutely need nowhere near the advertised claims nor have other options.

Others said, it did seem surprisingly light to use! The tradeoff I guess of my initial impression being "all this plastic inspires zero confidence!"

It is not worth the hassle to return it given that I will try to make it work and hopefully scoop up a clearance battery.

I assure you. NO ONE is buying these for $450/498/598.
Clearance prices vary greatly by store. Stores that have stock still in boxes still seem to be a tad bit high even for clearance here.
Stores that took all of their stock out of boxes and have been sitting out are the greatest markdowns. Most of them where I was had been picked over pretty bad. Some had missing parts, chargers, batteries, etc.

Yeah, if they didn't have those misleading claims on the box, I do not think I would have gone for it. I figured the "over half acre" was generous so I bit. But I got half that only without having a real rough lawn; it was just a maintenance mow and probably a couple days early at minimum.
