It has to be hardwired to electrical fixture.
My conclusion: This will work as a regular "dumb" flood light but will need to have the bridge for motion detection and Smart Control via app/assistant devices.
Phillips indicates you need the hub to control it.

My conclusion: This will work as a regular "dumb" flood light but will need to have the bridge for motion detection and Smart Control via app/assistant devices.
Connect it with the bridge to control your lights from your smart phone or tablet via the Philips Hue app. Or control your Philips Hue light with the Philips Hue dimmer indoor switch for on/off and dimming functionalities.
