The Tiffany Aching books are my favorite part of the Discworld series.

Discworld books in general are completely standalone. That said, this is the final book in the entire series, so I'd recommend starting just about anywhere else.

Same. I just checked and I've got nearly half the Discworld books on Kindle and I'm pretty sure I've picked them all up at $3 or less.

The Tiffany Aching books take *place* in the Discworld, but Sir Pterry himself considered them to be a thing apart. The Nac Mac Feegle are the best part of the Tiffany Aching stories, beyond Tiffany herself.

Sir Pterry at his finest, without a doubt.
