These speakers sound amazing and have a old-school vibe to them. This deal pairs the speakers and the stands. For those into vinyl, the stands serve as a place to store some records. Not a bad deal if you can swing it.

But I actually have seen just as many reviews that put the Lintons over the Model 5's.
Erin's Audio Corner preferred the Lintons to the Model 5's in subjective listening tests. He also uses the Klippel Nearfield Scanner to measure loudspeakers, which showed the Lintons to be a more neutral measuring speaker, though the Model 5 was not bad.
Andrew Robinson on YouTube chose the Lintons as his speaker of the year in 2021 over the Model 5's, though he did also really like the KLH.
Steve Guttenberg said he was sent the KLH Model 5 and then sent them back without making a video review because they didn't do anything for him. Conversely, he liked the Lintons enough to make a review video.
I'm enjoying the KLH Model 5 a lot, but I'm sure the Lintons are also really nice and probably better value for the money.

No. With the stands it was more like 1299 pre pandemic. This is still a good deal if you have been looking to snag a pair. Most of the good amps and speakers jumped $200-300 since.
