I've been using Amazon high capacity rechargeables for a couple years. All of them still work. The only issue is that they are a bit tight in some small battery compartments. They must be a little bigger than most other batteries.

Interesting take. I have multiple sets of these over the years and have yet to have one go bad. I just recently ordered another set of 24 and all of them have tested 2100mah.
Edit: and Eneloops are only three times this price. So many choices!
Lol yup. So dumb. Compared to Energizer/Duracell, one recharge of these and they will have paid for themselves. I have a liitokala capacity tester and I measure the capacity of my cells every year. All of them are near 100%.
Or, maybe you could use different batteries for different applications.
