If you use Preen it prevents all seeds from growing, this includes grass and flower seeds. What people don't seem to understand, because I worked at Lowes and had to explain it all the time to people, is not all weeds grow from seeds. Some weeds spread like grasses.
I haven't used Veggie Preen, that seems interesting to me.
