I've had this for about 4-5 years now. It's not the best portable grill, but it isn't the worst either. It is the best looking grill, though, and has held up well over the years. The built in cutting board/prep surface is nice. In the future, I would probably opt for one with higher BTU with multiple burners.

Cute, is it easy to clean, can it cook with the bottom portion in-tact? Does it need a heat-shield from wind?

I love nice looking stuff but especially with grills, easy cleanup is a must! But also hard to comeby

Ironic they advertise this item on the beach since most beaches don't allow open flames

This is a griddle, not a grill.

I've got one of these and it wins hands down for looks and portability. You'll need to separately carry any extra propane bottles. Grill can hold 1 but it's a tight fit with the hose and regulator and legs. When unpacked you'll need some space around the grill for the propane bottle. I'd recommend also getting a small table for that and your cooking tools/food. It's great for easy to cook items like kebabs, burgers and hot dogs.

The image implies a propane bottle will fit for storage in the grill itself, is that not the case?

I edited my original comment to clarify. It does fit one but you'll be finagling with it to get it all in there. The pics don't show the hose and regulator well, you have to fit that down there too.

A propane regulator, hose, burner and control are valued at $25 tops. This is considerably overpriced compared to competing portable gas grills. Nice used grills can be found at thrift shops for $10 or on CL for free especially post Labor Day.

Define "works pretty good"? Because 5500 BTUs to me is sufficient only for no-sear pan cooking or just boiling water. Or well done burgers, etc.

The appeal of this isn't the grill portion at all. It's all about the looks and compact design.

That $130 is buying you the lid which converts to a cutting board and the compartment for the propane tank. Yes, it's silly, but it's supposed to look cute.

Looking at that base, though, it seems like they could have gone a step further and given you a place to store grilling tools.
