I bought a factory refurbished Arris Surfboard modem and it was not any good. Channels were unlocked when they are supposed to be locked and multitudes of uncorrectable errors every few days.

Great device.. was using Netgear CM1100... to many dropout and reconnecting issues... changed to this and no issues now.. love it

Got this from the deal. Worked with xfinity, but my speed dropped around 200 MBPS (~260 from ~460) using my own router instead of xfinity's. I'm using the nighthawk R2630 (AC1200) which is rated up to 1.2 GBPS, with frequent disconnects (maybe also due to the router?). Anywho, just swapped back to Xfinity's for now.
