Was the previous deal cheaper with the only difference being that it had a larger SSD?

Not a good deal, I think it can be few hundred lower.

4090 should have 24 gb vram, this has 16gb which is a deal breaker at this price. Also only 1 usb4 port.
It's a laptop.. not a desktop

Solid deal for one of the highest performing laptops on the market. I picked it up at this price a couple months back, and it's a rocket ship. Outperforms my overclocked 3080ti desktop. Should be a few hundred lower over the holidays.

This is the mobile 4090 so of course it's 16gb. Name another laptop that has 24 gb of vram.

Correct. Also no 11% cashback portal, AmEx offer, or student discount.

Just a heads up bh photo has an egregious return policy - they won't accept a return if the laptop isn't sealed. I tried my 4080 model for an hour and hated the fans, now I'm stuck with it.

True B&H return policy sucks, they even charge restocking fee. Be really sure what you want before purchasing from them.

Not my experience. I purchased the 4080 variant from B&H that had a super spongy keyboard. Initiated a return, and they accepted it no problem as long as I purchased another one from them. This is when I decided to just go for the 4090 version for $500 more. No restocking fee charged.

You guys have to understand they are running a business. Every time someone "changes their mind" or wants to return an item for a refund and not a replacement... it costs them money. They aren't at the scale of retailers like Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, etc. They can't afford to internalize these fees like the big boys can. Either way it's important to read a company's return policy before doing business with them. If you aren't comfortable... then don't buy from them and move on. Just my 2 cents as a small-ish business owner.

Also.. dude laptop fans are LOUD. Like all of them.

All these Lenovo i5/i7/Pro laptop deals recently have me sooo close to biting. Which brings up another question:

Has anyone who owns one of these 2022/2023 Lenovo Legion gaming laptops implemented the usual (minor) undervolt strategies with ThrottleStop etc? Anyone willing to share their thoughts on improvements to fan noise/temps etc? On my Alienware m15 r2 gtx 1660ti I saw significant stability benefits and more reliable performance during extended gaming sessions. ThrottleStop lowered peak burst performance slightly, but was absolutely worth it for all the other advantages. I suspect these recent Lenovo Legion rtx 4070/80/90 models could see even better gains. Confirm deny?

Link for the uninitiated. Do a search for YouTube vids and other guides -

Thanks in advance!

try leaving a 1 inch air gap or use 120-200mm cooling fan pad. 4090 225watt is going to be loud lol

many slickdeal member buy 4 laptops and return 3 perfectly working laptops. Or i just brought laptop, should i return it for this one lol

Retail has the right refuse returns based on buyer history, baseless complaints. Even costco and amazon are getting more strict due to return abuse. Unless its a major defective.
all 4090 laptops are noisy

My laptop had a noisey fan when plug in. It was a windows issue, i put a 1/2 inch air gap. No more fan noise.

Holidays meaning thanksgiving, or later? And where should I look around those times for this? B&H?
